Q: Is this tool free? Any limits?
A: Yes, ToolArc's JSON tools are completely free, with no usage limits. You can use all advanced features (including minification, formatting, CSV conversion) without registration.
Q: Is my data safe? Is it uploaded?
A: Absolutely safe. This is a client-side tool. All data processing (parsing, formatting, validation) happens directly in your browser using JavaScript. We do not have any backend servers to receive or store your data.
Q: Why do I get "Invalid JSON" error?
A: This usually means your JSON syntax is incorrect. Common reasons include:
- Using single quotes
'for properties or strings (JSON standard requires double quotes"). - Trailing comma after the last element.
- Unescaped special characters.
Q: What is the maximum file size supported?
A: It depends on your browser's memory limit. Generally, 10MB to 50MB text files are handled smoothly. For files larger than 100MB, the browser might lag.
Q: Can I convert JSON to Excel or CSV?
A: Yes. After formatting, you can use the "Export CSV" feature. For more advanced conversions (like XML, YAML), please use our Data Transformer.
